Product Information

August 5th. 2010

As of August the 5th. 2010 Carrie Cove Cosmetics Inc. and Glacial Marine Clay Inc. will no longer be supplying powdered clay. This is due to the inforcement of the regulations regarding the amount of heavy metals allowed in topical application of cosmetic and madicinal products. Glacial clay as found, to this point in time in north America, have arsenic at levels of between 9 and 13 parts per million (PPM), the regulations only allow for 3 PPM. The amounts that are in the product do not pose a threat to anyone but we must do business within the present regulations or risk products being returned. As we have been supplying on the International market this risk is unacceptable, to protect our good name and the company, we will be no longer be selling product until one of two things happen; one, the regulations allow arsenic levels of up to 13 PPM or we find a deposit of Glacial clay that has no arsenic.

We can supply raw clay, in container loads only, moisture content approximately 15% to 20%. The analysis of the product are at bottom of the page. There is also an analysis of the Rare Earths that the clay contain. This clay bed contains in excess of 800,000,000 metric ton and would be shipped in 1,000 kg Totes minimum 40 foot container load, 36,000 kg.

Analysis on the new clay products have been received and show large amounts of rare earths. The following is the grams per metric tonne; below is the average of four samples.
